An ideal candidate will be a recent graduate from a vocational college, offers baseline experience and loves to learn.
YOU WILL:
Perform diagnostic and general mechanical work involving repair and maintenance of emergency vehicles, para-transit vehicles and other automotive/mechanical machinery. Responsible for full execution of scheduled preventative maintenance. Recommend replacement/repair needed. Monitors inventory of equipment, parts, tires, tools, and supplies.
Must have a high school diploma or GED. Must be18 years of age. Possess a valid and unrestricted driver’s license with insurable driving record. Required: 1 year of direct experience required; 2 years preferred. Supplemented by vocational/technical training in mechanics and automotive/mechanical maintenance; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge skills, and abilities for this job may be considered. Highly preferred: Emergency Vehicle Technician Certification Commission, Ambulance Technician Exams in Maintenance, Inspection, Testing of Ambulances; Design & Performance Standards of Ambulances; Ambulance Cab, Chassis and Powertrain; Ambulance Electrical Systems: Ambulance Heating, Air-Conditioning, and Ventilation Systems. Other Requirements: Must have personal hand-tool set sufficient to perform duties.
Hiring range: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
